Score Media and Gaming Inc. has secured market access to Illinois rolling out its mobile betting product in partnership with Caesars Entertainment Inc.’s property, Harrah’s Joliet Hotel & Casino resort. Over the next ten years, the companies will work together on strengthening their positions in the Illinois sports betting market. 

TheScore is awaiting relevant license approvals from the Illinois Gaming Board, the official press release stated. With the licenses almost in the books, Score Media and Gaming will be expecting the launch of its dedicated mobile sportsbook product in the second half of the calendar year.

TheScore Bet sportsbook will bring consumers a top-of-the-range betting experience, argued theScore CEO and chairman John Levy. “Gaining market access to Illinois is a significant development that will bring our award-winning mobile sportsbook to one of the most populous states,” Levy added in an official statement.

Levy paid praise to Caesars Entertainment and welcomed the opportunity for theScore to be expanding into yet another market with the help of one of the best companies in the vertical. 

The deal dictates that Caesars will be entitled to a percentage of all revenue generated by theScore Bet’s mobile offer, with a guaranteed minimum amount on an annual basis. TheScore will also reimburse Caesars for specific costs associated with the licensing procedure and licensing fee. 

Revisit the Partnership in 10 Years
